Elevator bucket bolts, nuts, and washers for grain legs and bulk-handling elevators. Pick a type below to shop, or scroll down for details.
Jealco International stocks one of the largest selections of elevator bucket fasteners available online. Whether you're maintaining an existing grain leg or building a new bucket elevator system, we carry the bolts, nuts, and washers you need — available in zinc plated, carbon steel, and stainless steel to match your environment and corrosion requirements.
Available in both standard and fanged styles, Norway #1 bolts are the industry standard for securing elevator buckets to belting. The fanged design bites into the belt to prevent rotation during installation, making it the preferred choice for most grain and feed applications. Choose from zinc plated for general use, carbon steel for heavy-duty applications, or stainless steel where moisture and corrosion resistance are required.
Paired with Norway bolts, our nylon insert lock nuts resist loosening from vibration — critical in bucket elevator systems that run continuously. Available in zinc plated and stainless steel to match your bolt selection.
Oversized fender washers distribute clamping force across the belt surface, reducing stress concentrations and prolonging belt life at fastener points. Available in zinc plated, carbon steel, and stainless steel in multiple diameters.

Both styles share the same thread and diameter, but fanged Norway bolts have small protrusions on the underside of the head that bite into the belt surface when tightened, preventing rotation during installation. This makes them significantly easier to install — no need to hold the bolt head while tightening the nut. Standard Norway bolts have a smooth underhead and require the head to be held during torquing. Fanged bolts are the preferred choice for most grain leg and bucket elevator installations.
Zinc plated fasteners are cost-effective and suitable for standard indoor grain handling with low moisture exposure. Carbon steel fasteners provide high tensile strength for heavy-duty applications where moisture is not a concern. Stainless steel offers maximum corrosion resistance for wet environments, outdoor installations, or applications adjacent to food processing where hygiene standards apply.
Bolt size is determined by the hole pattern in your elevator bucket and the thickness of your conveyor belt. Most elevator bucket manufacturers specify the recommended bolt diameter and length in their product documentation. If you know your bucket brand and model, contact us and we can help confirm the correct fastener specification.
Fender washers have a much larger outer diameter relative to the hole size compared to standard flat washers. This distributes clamping load over a wider area of the belt surface, reducing stress concentration at the fastener point and minimizing the risk of the bolt pulling through the belt over time — particularly important in high-vibration bucket elevator applications.
